Someone finally MOC’d up an Enterprise, which I’ve been waiting to see for a long time. Got the instructions and hit bricklink. 2 Weeks later, voila. A little over 5,000 pieces.

So did brinklink have a “set” made up? Or did you have to buy a bunch of different kits to get the required pieces?

If you think about the vehicle he drives, I don’t think that matters.

Think it was $480 for all the parts. Good rule of thumb is $0.10 per piece, this came out just under that. I justify Lego purchases in that they hold their value REALLY well. Out of print kits usually only go up from their original retail price, even opened. Parts similarly hold their value pretty well.
